What is Families Week?
Families Week is Australia’s national celebration of families. Led by Families Australia, it runs annually every May to align with the United Nations International Day of Families on 15 May.
The week brings communities together through events, activities and celebrations that recognise the vital role families play in Australian life.
This year, Families Week runs from 11 – 17 May 2026.
