Families Australia held a policy forum in Melbourne on 29 February 2016 which provided information on the Third Action Plan (2015-2018) for the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children. Dr Brian Babington asked the question What must we do differently? to effect the changes sought in the Third Action Plan and Professor Kerry Arabena spoke about the impact of the first 1000 days which ties into Strategy One of the Third Action Plan – Early intervention with a focus on the early years, particularly the first 1000 days for a child.
