Introduction
In September 2023, the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS) released the  Stronger, more diverse and independent community sector issues paper for public consultation.
Families Australia facilitated a members forum on 18 October to explores issues raised in the paper, gather the views and experiences of members and identify priority areas of comment. While the primary purpose forum was to facilitate discussion and support members with the development of their own submission to the issues paper, Families Australia summited a summary of the forum’s discussion as our response to the consultation process.
